Cooking and heating

Blue Fuel™ has properties very similar to those of LPG, allowing it to be used as a fuel in any cooking and heating appliance that burns propane. If Blue Fuel™ is blended with LPG (20% Blue Fuel™/80% LPG), no equipment modifications are required, but to burn with higher percentages of Blue Fuel™ or pure Blue Fuel™ minor modifications need to be done.

For many countries, substituting Blue Fuel™ for, or blending Blue Fuel™ with, LPG for cooking and heating reduces dependence on imported LPG, supplies of which could become more expensive and unreliable. The use of Blue Fuel™ for cooking and heating thus enhances energy security. It can also reduce the amount of solid fuel, such as coal or wood, used for these applications, helping improve air quality both inside and outside the house. In many developing countries indoor air pollution from burning solid fuels for cooking and heating is both a major health hazard and, by contributing to deforestation, environmentally destructive.
